OH HELLO !

My name is Anna. Here is a little bit about my story and how I came to love my job as a celebrant...

I grew up in the small farming community of Borden and after some years of travel, work and adventures I have returned to the Great Southern region. I’m passionate about the outdoors; I love camping, fishing and exploring beautiful Mother Nature. I've been so fortunate to have lived in some of the most amazing places within Australia and abroad, and have enjoyed vast and fruitful career lines.

From governessing on sheep-stations in the Mid-West, to teaching in Central Australia, nannying in Canada, to working in Civil Construction in Darwin and the Pilbara, to playing a large role in the development and running of a now prestigious and sought after Wedding Venue in WA's Southwest. There has always been a common denominator, meeting and working with people from all walks of life, I truly believe the connections we make through life plays such an integral role in the people we are today.

I was so lucky to meet the man of my dreams back in May 2015. We met through mutual friends, in fact we were partnered up in the bridal party. Full credit to our friends, they picked us as a good match years ago. He's a good egg, I simply cannot imagine life without Ross, and in July 2017, we were married with an intimate wedding, just the two of us, our fur baby, Willow, and our two witnesses. It was simply perfect!

We became the proud parents to our Grace Penelope in November 2017. Becoming parents has far outweighed our expectations. I am so lucky Grace picked me to be her Mum.

BEING A CIVIL CELEBRANT

I spent three wonderful years as The Venue Manager at Old Broadwater Farm, and this is where my true passion for bringing couple’s dreams for their wedding day to a reality was born. Without a doubt, the highlight was the amazing people I was fortunate enough to meet, I can honestly say I had clients who began as strangers, and became wonderful lifelong friends as we journeyed together through planning their wedding day.

Fast forward to  2016, I decided to pursue a well formed itch, enrolling in the studies to become a Civil Celebrant. On the 11th of February, 2017, on my 34th birthday, I officiated my very first ceremony and I haven't looked back.

Your wedding should reflect you both as a couple – I can help you create a ceremony which fits you, and the special people in your life. I love to create unique, meaningful, modern ceremonies. I absolutely love hearing your story, getting to know you both and assisting you to create a ceremony which is personalised, unique and right for you as a couple.

Becoming a marriage celebrant has enabled me to combine so many of my passions – beautiful destinations, special people and most importantly – your love story!
